D4D Learning and Sharing at FutureFriday+

Beginning of April, Data4Development joined the Centre for Innovation of Leiden University at their weekly FutureFriday+ sessions. In this series, teachers, researchers, social innovators,  and students come together to discuss new innovations for education, research and entrepreneurship. The topic for April 6th was Preparing For GDPR: How Can We Use Data Responsibly?

We were invited as a guest to share our knowledge on the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and how to use data in a responsible manner. Our Partner T&R Lawyers was also present in Judith Tarmond LL.M, Associate Partner, who hosted a break out session on the meeting point between IT, cyber security and the law.  Other speakers included HumanityX and Harvard Humanitarian Initiative.
Many people joined the session and joined the discussions with interest and were enthusiastic about what they heard. We are grateful to the Centre for Innovation team for bringing this all together!
